Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE)
Free Pre School Places; is your child eligible?
The Early Years Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Scheme is a government funded initiative that provides up to 2 FREE academic years of preschool to children who have turned 2 years 8 months before the beginning of September of the upcoming academic year. September is the only entry point for this scheme.
How the scheme works
The State pays a capitation fee to participating playschools and daycare services. In return, they provide a pre-school service free of charge to all children within the qualifying age range for a set number of hours over a set period of weeks.
How the ECCE scheme is provided
The child will be entitled to a preschool session of 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, over 38 weeks.
We run two ECCE sessions daily: 9am-12pm or 2pm - 5pm.
Additional hours can be accommodated at an extra cost.
Applying is easy, all you need is your child's PPS number and we will do the rest !
Places book up months in advance so try and register with us as soon as possible.
